5 Ways to Avoid Body Odor without any Products

Although body odor is common for most people, there are ways to get rid of it and keep it from coming back for the most part. The best part about it is that it does not have to cost any money. All it takes is a good clean diet along with good hygiene practices.

Body odor can be caused by disease, and in this case one must focus on healing the disease first. Then once the disease is healed, the body odor will subside as well. In most cases, however, body odor is caused by a toxic buildup inside of the body. When those toxins are released from the body they contribute to an odor. Therefore, the key is to eliminate the toxins and stop putting new toxins into the body.

Listed below are 5 ways to help moderately healthy individuals avoid body odor without any products or medications.

A Clean Diet

The key to avoiding body odor is a clean diet. The raw food diet is a perfect example of this type of diet as the foods are clean and full of important nutrients. Raw plant-based foods will not only prevent new toxins from entering the body, but they also help to break down and expel any accumulated toxins.

Promote Sweating

Sweating is often regarded as the cause of body odor. But the good news is that sweat by itself is actually odorless. It is the toxins that are picked up throughout the body that cause the odor to arise when they are released through the skin. Therefore, the more one sweats, the more toxins are brought out. This process temporarily increases body odor, but reduces it in the long run.

One of the best ways to promote sweating is by spending time in a sauna. However, there are many other ways, which include a hot bath, spending time in the hot sun, and exercise. Hot herbal teas and warming foods, such as ginger and cayenne, are also effective because they naturally warm the internal body in order to promote a natural sweat.

Drink Plenty of Fluids

Fluids do the same thing to the inside of the body as they do to the outside. As they circulate the body they pick up any harmful toxins that do not belong and bring them out via the sweat and urine. The more fluids that are present in the body the greater the cleaning action will be.

Shower Regularly

Showering regularly will help to wash away the toxic substances and prevent them from multiplying. Most individuals can get away with showering daily, but others might need to shower multiple times in order to avoid body odor.

Brush and Floss Daily

Brushing at least twice a day helps prevent bad breath and cavities. Flossing is also important as it helps to remove food particles that otherwise would remain and attract harmful bacteria. Harmful bacteria will not only contribute to bad breath, but to cavities and other dental problems as well.

Additional Tips

Some of the above methods will not render immediate results. But when practiced daily, and in conjunction with each other, the odor can be eliminated over time.

In the mean-time, there are natural products that can be used to temporarily neutralize the odors before they occur.

Good info. Hibiclens does wonders, but it's a product:) I think eating a lot of veggies is good.

Great tips on how not to have body odour. I also found that since I stopped eating meat, my farts don't smell half as bad as my husband's who is a keen meat eater.
