Ginger Tea

Ginger tea is one of my favorite drinks on a cold day, or any other day. Not only is it cheap and easy to make, it also tastes great!

Ginger tea improves blood circulation, which in turn helps to keep the body warm. It is a great home remedy for many illnesses. Click here to read more on the health benefits of ginger root.

Just make sure you come back and try these ginger tea recipes.

You can purchase ginger tea already packaged for convenience, or grate your own at home from fresh ginger root. There are many ways that you can enjoy the tea, but here are some of my favorite ways to enjoy it. These are light tasting tea recipes suitable for those who have not yet developed a taste for strong teas. Hope you enjoy.

Spicy Ginger Tea

2 cups Water
1 tsp. Ginger, freshly grated
2 tsp. Agave nectar
ΒΌ tsp. Cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg

Bring the water to a boil.

While waiting for the water to boil, peel and grate the ginger and put it into a small teaball. Place the teaball into a teapot and add the rest of the ingredients. Once the water comes to a boil, remove from heat and pour over the ingredients.

Steep for 5-10 minutes and enjoy! (Makes 2 cups)

Note: You may substitute raw honey for the agave nectar.

Oooh ginger recipes. And I do love ginger tea - I mean it just clears my head - even when I think it is clear - but no, it can be clearer. There is nothing at all like fresh grated ginger.

With fall here followed by winter - we need ginger!

Yay! Rated up!
